A Studio Within the Dalmend Collective

Dalmend Home is the residential interiors studio of the Dalmend Collective - a family of design practices devoted to the craft of living well. Where the Collective shapes spaces of every scale, our studio gives its full attention to one thing: the high-end house and the mansion.

We believe true luxury is not loud. It is the depth of a hand-rubbed walnut panel, the weight of a brass door pull, the way late light falls across honed marble. Restraint, material honesty and a sense of occasion guide every room we touch.

"A great house is not decorated. It is composed - room by room, like movements in a quiet symphony."

From the entrance hall that sets the tone to the private library that ends the day, we curate interiors meant to be lived in for generations - not refreshed every season.

What the Studio Does

The Art of the Grand Interior

Six disciplines that shape every Dalmend Home residence - from first sketch to the final placed object.

01
Whole-Home Design
Cohesive interior schemes for entire estates, where every room answers to a single, considered narrative of light, material and proportion.
02
Statement Rooms
Drawing rooms, grand staircases, dining halls and libraries designed as set pieces - the spaces a great house is remembered by.
03
Lighting Architecture
Layered schemes built around chandeliers, sculptural fixtures and concealed sources that flatter art, stone and skin alike.
04
Material Curation
Sourcing rare marble, figured timber, hand-applied plaster and bespoke metalwork - the substance behind every refined surface.
05
Art and Object Placement
Collections, antiques and commissioned pieces hung and positioned so each holds its own conversation within the room.
06
Heritage Restoration
Returning period mansions to grace - cornices, panelling and proportion honoured, comfort and quiet technology added.

What We Cover

The Vocabulary of a Fine Home

Our journal explores the elements that turn a large house into a remarkable one.

Luxury Living Rooms
Drawing rooms and salons designed for conversation, art and the long evening - generous, layered, never cluttered.
Marble and Stone
Selecting, bookmatching and detailing natural stone for floors, fireplaces and the surfaces that anchor a room.
Sculptural Lighting
Chandeliers, pendants and concealed light - how the right scheme gives a mansion its evening atmosphere.
Grand Entrances
Entrance halls and staircases that announce the house - the first impression that every other room answers to.
Bespoke Joinery
Panelled libraries, dressing rooms and cabinetry made by hand to the millimetre and to the client.
Collecting and Curation
Building, placing and living with art, antiques and rare objects so a home reads as a life, not a showroom.

Statement Rooms
Designing a Drawing Room That Commands the House

The drawing room sets the register for an entire residence. We walk through scale, the placement of the fireplace, layered seating and the single sculptural gesture that gives the space its quiet authority - the moves that separate a grand room from a merely large one.

Choosing Marble and Lighting That Age With the Home

Rare stone and considered light are the two investments a mansion never outgrows. This guide covers bookmatching, honed versus polished finishes, and a layered lighting plan that flatters every surface from morning to midnight.

Olivia Grant
Founding Designer - Dalmend Home

For over fifteen years I have designed interiors for private estates, heritage mansions and waterfront residences. My work begins not with a mood board but with the house itself - its light, its proportion, the way it wants to be lived in.

Dalmend Home is my studio within the Dalmend Collective, dedicated entirely to high-end houses. Here I share the thinking behind grand interiors: how to choose materials that age with grace, how to compose a statement room, and how to let a great house breathe.

Before You Begin

Our studio works exclusively with high-end residences - private estates, mansions, heritage homes, penthouse residences and waterfront villas. Every project receives a whole-home approach, where each room is composed as part of a single design narrative.

Yes. Heritage restoration is one of our six core disciplines. We return period mansions to grace - honouring cornices, panelling and original proportion while quietly introducing modern comfort and considered technology.
Material curation is central to our work. We source rare marble, figured timber, hand-applied plaster and bespoke metalwork, and we commission joinery and objects made by hand to each client and each room.
